IMX.xx Unable to Dial or Receive Calls

Problem:
An IMX.xx with a T-1 interface through a Digital Cross-Connect System (DACS), has a problem dialing out or receiving calls. The T-1 shows synchronization, however can not handle a call.

Resolution:
It is common for DACS maintenance personnel to assume that no signaling treatment is needed when mapping DS-1 to DS-1 through the DACS when SW56 service resides on the DS-Os.
Ask DACS personnel to verify that signaling type on each of the DS-1 is set to E&M rather than transparent.
